Oil analysis is the most cost effective method of reducing maintenance costs and improving productivity in industries which operate transport fleets, earthmoving units, processing plants, ships and aircrafts. As one would take a blood sample to determine the health of a person, WearCheck’s programme analyses oil samples. This helps the company to check for wear and oil condition in any oil-wetted compartment or oil filter found in the equipment. This then allows the company to recommend action for predictive and proactive maintenance management.

WearCheck has been appointed by US-based, Honeywell Aerospace as the accredited laboratory for Honeywell turbine engines in Africa. It also recieved approval from Paris-based, Bureau Veritas and UK-based Lloyds Register to carry out marine oil analysis on ships and offshore units under their control. Research and development plays a major part in WearCheck’s commitment to improving systems and technology on an ongoing basis.
