Letaba

The Letaba “culture” has been developed through long term relationships with clients, suppliers and staff and founded on service excellence and quality products. Established in 1992, Letaba Dewatering continues to build on its reputation for professional execution of water transfer needs to construction, earthmoving, mining and industrial clients. This reputation is founded on the experience and expertise of the team and a proven track record of excellence, innovation and delivery. Letaba Dewatering concentrates on two major areas of business namely: hire and resale of their product range. Letaba Dewatering supplies the largest fleet of pumps for hire in Southern Africa.

The rental division specialises in volume pumping and has an extensive range to cover this requirement.
Born out of the need to provide economic alternatives to pump users, Letaba Dewatering established their hire division some years ago with great success. It became especially evident that pump hire was the answer in times of crisis, when production could not be compromised. Letaba Dewatering embarked upon establishing a dedicated range of pumps to pump anything from waste water to any other water problems. Wilden - air operated double diaphragm pumps, Varisco - self-priming diesel driven pumps, Sakuragawa - electric submersible drainage pumps and Hydropompe represents the Company’s world-class agencies.

Wilden’s Stallion range of double-diaphragm pumps, are suited to typical mining applications namely: dewatering with solids handling capabilities and sludge and slurry tasks.  Sakuragawa’s extensive range of electric submersible pumps are ideal for a variety of dewatering applications. Whilst much emphasis is placed on the hire division, pump sales play a key role in the operations too. Although export business activity is handled through independent distributors in sub-Saharan Africa, Letaba Dewatering has an associated business in Zimbabwe. Letaba Dewatering has a long and established history with its clients. Kumba Resources,  Aveng, WBHO, Concor and the Department of Water Affairs are just some of their many valued clients. The Divisional Managing Director of the hire division is Kenny Hadden. He is assisted by a technically experienced team. The Divisional Director of the Letaba Group is John Vassiloudis.
